IV therapy is not appropriate for everyone. Before any treatment proceeds, an appropriate clinical assessment and suitability screening are completed. This may include review of health history, current medications, allergies, relevant pathology and individual risk factors. Where prescribing or additional clinical oversight is required, treatment will only proceed once those requirements have been met. A consultation or enquiry does not guarantee that an infusion will be recommended or provided.
How IV administration works
IV administration delivers fluid and nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the gastrointestinal tract. It is also invasive and carries risks that oral supplements do not. IV administration is not automatically better than oral intake, and whether it is appropriate depends on the individual, the formulation and the clinical reason for it.

Possible risks
All IV administration carries risk. Possible effects include bruising, infection, vein irritation, allergic reaction, formulation-related adverse effects, fluid-related complications and, rarely, serious reactions. These are discussed with you before your first infusion as part of informed consent. If you have a cardiac, kidney or fluid-balance condition, or you are pregnant or breastfeeding, tell us before booking.
What a session is like
Most infusions take around 30 to 45 minutes; NAD+ runs longer. Every infusion is nurse administered from start to finish, with your comfort and safety checked throughout.
Who this may suit
- You would like to discuss a hydration or nutrient infusion and are comfortable with a screening consultation first
- You are interested in NAD+ and want a realistic conversation about what is and is not established
- You have confirmed iron deficiency through pathology and a prescriber involved in your care
- You would like a nurse to review your health history before deciding whether an infusion is appropriate
