PRP & PRF
Platelet rich therapies for hair restoration and skin rejuvenation, using your own blood's natural growth factors to support regeneration.
Why people come to PRP and PRF
Maybe you've noticed your hair thinning and want to act before it progresses further. Maybe you've just had a hair transplant and want to support the graft's survival. Maybe it's your skin, general texture and tone, or specifically the delicate under-eye area that regular skincare hasn't touched. PRP and PRF are used for both hair and skin, and which one (or combination) is right depends entirely on your specific goals.
How it actually works
PRP and PRF both start the same way: a small blood sample is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to concentrate its platelets and growth factors, then reintroduced to the treatment area. PRF spins at a lower speed than PRP, preserving more white blood cells and fibrin, which creates a gel-like matrix that releases growth factors more gradually over time. We use both for hair and for skin, tailoring which one, or a combination of both, suits your goals.
For Hair
PRP and PRF are injected into the scalp to support thinning areas and encourage healthier regrowth over a course of sessions. Common reasons clients choose this:
- Post hair transplant — supporting graft survival and healthier regrowth in the months following a transplant
- Androgenic alopecia and pattern hair loss — a course of sessions to help slow thinning and support existing follicles
- Postpartum hair loss — supporting hormonal shedding after pregnancy, often alongside our Women's Wellness Program
- General scalp and hair health — a preventative option for clients without noticeable loss who want to support density and scalp health over time
For Skin
Both support overall texture, tone and collagen, and PRF in particular has become a favourite for the delicate under-eye area, where its gentler, slower release profile suits thin skin better than PRP alone. Common reasons clients choose this:
- General skin rejuvenation — supporting overall texture, tone and collagen production over a course of sessions
- Under eye area — PRF's gentler, slower release profile suits the thin, delicate skin around the eyes
- Alongside other treatments — often paired with needling or laser to support skin recovery and enhance results
- Preventative skin health — a proactive option for clients wanting to support collagen and skin quality before visible ageing concerns develop
Looking to pair this with a named microneedling serum like Salmon DNA or Rejuran?
What to expect
The full appointment, including preparation, typically runs 45 to 60 minutes. Because it uses your own blood, reaction risk is minimal, though some redness, swelling or tenderness at the site is normal for a few days. Most clients begin with a short course before moving to periodic maintenance, typically every 4 to 6 weeks.
